You’re tired of constantly revamping your resume and sending it in, only to find that you never get a response back. When you do get a response, it’s getting old for you to see that the company was impressed with your qualifications but chose someone else – basically, a sugar-coated rejection. You need to really focus on the top companies that are hiring to increase your chances of solidifying a position and finally getting noticed. Here are the top companies that are hiring now – and the company that appears to be the greenest of them all.

Sears Sears.com Home Page specifically has more than 3,500 openings. This employer stands out specifically because of its unparalleled green focus: In fact, it received the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR Corporate Commitment Award – the agency’s biggest honor.

Sears Home Services also recently bought 27 new Ford E250 cargo vans for its Seattle fleet. Roush CleanTech Propane Autogas converted the fleet to propane power, which decreases the emission of exhaust and ultimately reducing greenhouse gases by 25 percent. On top of that, carbon dioxide emissions are decreased by a whopping 60 percent with this fleet, and owners have the opportunity to minimize their fuel costs with these greener vehicles as well. Drivers of the home service vans also must follow the company’s “no idling policy” as well as drive at speeds that promote the greatest fuel efficiency.

The other nine hiring American companies (in order from greatest number of openings to least) include:

Toys R Us: With the holiday season approaching, more than 9,000 openings are available.

Macy’s: More than 7,000 openings are available, as Macy is part of the “100,000 Jobs Mission” – a group of 55 companies that are dedicated to employing 100,000 veterans by 2020.

SAIC Corp.: This company has almost 2,800 job openings in the computer science and engineering fields – fields in which green jobs are becoming more and more popular.

UnitedHealth Group: With more than 2,500 openings, this company offers health insurance services to more than 75 million people across the globe. Like Macy’s, it is part of the “100,000 Jobs Mission” aimed at hiring veterans.

AT&T Retail: Almost 1,800 openings are here at this store, which is a hot spot due to the recent debut of the iPhone 5.

Heartland Express: This company offers short- to medium-haul regional freight transportation and has a little more than 1,450 openings.

Wells Fargo: This company has more than 1,400 openings and actually committed to providing part-time summer jobs to young individuals this year after partnering with the Obama administration.

Rent-A-Center: More than 1,400 openings are available at this store, which has expanded in New York.

Xerox Services: Almost 1,400 job opportunities are available here as the company grows its call center and creating jobs throughout the company.
